I opened the door of my mind
To find you in the deep heart of me.
I spent so many days
Talking to the sunbeams
and the shadow of my dreams.
From now and then
I thought I saw you
Among the flocks of butterflies.
You were running
You were flying
You were the light air,
Water and earth
Flowing between my fingers.
I was spining my wheel of time
Making carpets of grass and velvet.
Now our home is empty.
You’re gone forever,
You left me alone
In the woods of life.
Your meal is still on the table
But I’m not hungry.
I can only feed myself
Of the fruits you left in my soul.
The only bread and wine left behind
Are unrasable signs of your pain…
And your pain is my pain.

I reach for your hand
In the other side of my memory…
Though I know I can only find you
In this side
Of the white desert of creation.
I hear you singing the same song
That the birds sang when I was born.
I still hear your voice in the twilight
I still feel the same thrill
The same mystery of being.
How can I keep flying
When you took my wings,
my beliefs and hopes with you?
How shall I go on
When I know I won’t find you
In any harbour of my solitary voyage?
How can I rest
When I know you won’t be waiting for me
When I come home?
Still, I hear your steps in the corridor every morning.I still see you waiting for the rising sunIn the balcony of my childhood.
Now, what do I have to defeat
The cold of your definitive absence?
Only the warmness
Of your immaterial presence…
The moon has the same face
Since I was born.
The moon is still here,
The fields, the trees, the night.
All seems untouched and immutable.
A spark of what we were all together
Still shines in the night.
The light of your smileStill illuminates my world.
