The rise of social media platforms like Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr have ushered in visual marketing as a key trend for 2013 and beyond. This presentation explores a (brief) history of the visual web, provides tips for developing and executing an effective visual content strategy and examines how brands are leveraging visual content to share stories, engage fans and drive sales. This presentation was delivered as part of Social Media Club Atlanta's 3rd Annual PechaKucha Night. In keeping with the PechaKucha ("Lightning Talk") style, these 20 slides were each delivered in 20 seconds for an engaging, informative and fast-paced session.
