Over the last few years, cheerleading has gained massive popularity across the globe. In fact, it has been considered recently as a legitimate sport and every year, there are various competitions that are being held in many parts of the world.

Do take care of yourself. To become a world-class cheer athlete, you must know how to take care of yourself. You have to look after your health and wellbeing at all times. Eat the right kinds of food and try various physical activities.

Don’t take practice for granted. As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect.” Therefore, to excel in cheerleading, you have to practise with your team regularly

Do sign up for training camps. Aside from practising regularly, you should consider attending training camps for cheer athletes. There are various cheerleading groups that frequently organise workshops and training camps for those who want to learn more

Don’t push yourself too much. If you’re hurt or injured, don’t force yourself to attend practise because it will only do more harm than good. As mentioned earlier, you have to look after your health and wellbeing always

Do wear appropriate attire. Always make sure that you wear the right clothes and shoes during cheerleading practice and competition.
