Phase 2- Applicant Interview
• Qualified applicants will test on March
23rd– 8:00-11:00 am
• Writing Sample
• Diagnostic test: reading & math skills
• Check in by 7:45
Preparing for test and writing sample
Diagnostic Test- 40 minutes:
• Multiple-choice questions on reading comprehension &
mathematics
Writing Sample20 minutes :
• Read the prompt carefully and answer it fully with
examples/details.
• Check/edit your work
• Contact Ms. Gardner if accommodations are required
Phase 3- Final Selection
• Coordinator evaluates complete
application, test, & writing sample
• Final selections will be mailed by the
district the week of April 23rd
• 60 applicants will be invited to
participate in the program
• Transportation is provided
• Orientation for program is in June
