The Diagon-Frame Electric Guitar
Problem Statement
Our group had 6 weeks to complete a scaled model of an electric guitar that followed these standards:
$600-Dollar Limit (Including the Manufacturing Cost of $108.25)
The guitar should be fit for a/an beginner to intermediate player.
The guitar should be cheap, and yet have the best sound.
And Now…
Our 3 Main Designs:
The Tea Leaf
The Sabuar
The Diagon-Frame
What We Added and Removed
1)Lowered and Rounded the Curve
2)Rounded the Cutaway
3)Removed the Pickup
4)Added a Second Curve Inward
5)Removed Tail Pieces
The New Design• 3-Way Pickup Switch
•Mahogany and Hard Maple Body
•Two Hum Buckers
•2 Volume Knobs and 2 Tone Knobs
•3’-1.38” Total Length
•2 Concave Curves into the Body for Comfort
•Rosewood Fret Board
•Maple Bolt-On Neck
The Innovation of the Diagon-Frame Body
Instead of adding a different wood on top, the body of the Diagon-Frame is split into 3 sections vertically, with the warm mahogany wood on the outside in order to produce a warm resonation.
