Play-Doh is a modeling compound used by young children for art and craft projects at home and in school.

ORIGINAL INVENTORS

Play-Doh was accidentally invented in 1955 by Joseph and Noah McVicker.

HOW WAS IT USED WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY INVENTED, AND HOW IS IT USED NOW?Before

Play-doh was originally invented as a WALLPAPER CLEANER!!!!!!

Play-doh is now used as a toy to create arts and crafts.

HOW HAS PLAY-DOH AFFECTED SOCIETY?Positive

It has improved society by helping kids with their imagination, and a boost on their creativity which can contribute the world in the future.

Negative

The factories were play-doh is made release harmful fumes that hurt the environment and contribute to global warming.

WHAT ARE SOME INNOVATIONS THE PRODUCT HAS UNDERGONE?

Play-doh originally only came in an off-white color, today you can find it at any store and in all of the colors of the rainbow.

Science was used during the creation of play-doh to know how each of the ingredients would react when they were combined.

Technology was and is used to manufacture Play-doh all around the world.

McVicker’s special putty-like substance was an excellent wallpaper cleaner, because it didn’t contain any toxic chemicals, could be reused and would not stain the wallpapers. They meet peoples needs and wants.

Math was used during the creation of play-doh to measure each of the ingredients to make sure you would get the right texture.
