OVERVIEW
The township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards completed the purchase of the former St.
Casimir’s Catholic School on June 30th, 2016, which is located at 2725 Round Lake Road
in Round Lake Centre, Ontario. This property is located between Killaloe and Pembroke
in the town of Round Lake Centre. Amenities such as groceries, golf course, hospitals,
churches and community centres are located within 20min of the property. The area is
serviced by the O.P.P. and a volunteer fire department with stations in Killaloe, Round
Lake and Wilno.
COUNCIL VISION
The council of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards purchased this former school with the
intentions of reselling it to perspective buyers whose plans will help increase economic
development within the community. As the owner of this facility, the township reserves
the right to choose who we believe will create a sustainable plan that will bring forth a
positive effect within the township. We ask that all interested parties submit a formal
proposal explaining in detail their proposed plan and how it will positively affect the
township. As a general guideline, the township will be looking at such points from
prospective buyers as outlined below. However the township will review every proposal
that is received and will evaluate each on its own merit under the following point system;
1. If the plan will create more jobs for people of the community (25)
2. How they will insure their proposed plan will be long lasting and sustainable (15)
3. How their plan will ensure the property does not sit idle for long (5)
4. How their plan will draw more people to the area (5)
5. How their plan will utilize creative innovation (20)
6. How their plan provides a successful cost recovery solution for the Township of
Killaloe, Hagarty & Richards (30)
As well as any other applicable information pertaining to how their plan will help the
community as a whole.

It is important to note that perspective buyers are aware that this property is being sold
“as is” and “where is” with no exceptions. Although dated, the building appears to be in
solid condition. However also note that no tests, reports or thorough inspections were
completed by the township to sufficiently comment on any structural, environmental,
utility, or technological issues that may be associated with this facility. To the township’s
knowledge the building is in a reasonable state with all systems associated with it in
proper working order.
Purchase proposal packages must include page 7 of this document (filled out and signed),
along with the submitted formal proposal.

4:30 PM Local Time. Proposal submissions received after this deadline
will not be given consideration.

Miscellaneous
Interested parties are required to attend a mandatory ‘open house’ on
September 22nd, 2016 from 6-8:30 P.M. local time prior to submitting any
proposals. Only proposal’s submitted after this site visit by interested parties who
have attended same, will be considered valid for the purposes of this contract.
