Exalted Ruler’s Message
I want to take a moment to thank our new Baby P.E.R., Carmen Adonizio and First Lady Carol, for leading us through a great year. I wish Carmen the best of luck in his new endeavor as 5-year Trustee and the newest member of one of, if not the best, P.E.R. association in the State. To the membership, thank you for your confidence in me to lead our Lodge through the next year. I know that with your help and the help of our dedicated Officers, we can make Bordentown Lodge an outstanding pillar of the Community. Congratulations to Rosemary Becker on becoming the new President of the Women's Auxiliary.
I look forward to working with her and the Auxiliary. Thank you Nancy Debnarik for your work as the Auxiliary President for the last two years, I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Thank you to all our Committees for all the hard work that they do. You are the backbone of the Lodge. I know you can't do it alone. So members, if you can, dedicate an hour or so a month to help out a committee. Don't forget, it's the committees that raise money to allow us to accomplish the things we want to do. The satisfaction you feel from knowing that you are a part of this great effort is a reward that will stay with you always. Please come out and support each others committee functions. Once again Walt Papp and the Entertainment Committee did a fantastic job with the Saint Patrick's Dinner. Everyone had a great time. Whenever you are out and about, and someone asks you what do Elks do? Hold your head up high give a big smile and tell them my motto: Helping Veterans, Special Children, Youth and Community, It's what we do!
By working together I truly believe that we can make Bordentown Lodge 2085 one of the best in the country.
Fraternally Yours
Pete DeLucia, Exalted Ruler

Happy Spring!!! Let's "hop" into action with upcoming activities! Convention is creeping up quickly and we want everything to go perfectly. Hopefully, all is settled with your rooms and payments. If you intend to bring additional people to the convention, PLEASE NOTIFY DONNA PAPP AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE WEEKEND. This is imperative as we need to have an accurate count for food so we have enough for all. Also, if you are staying additional days, please let Donna know so she can notify the hotels. Our Saturday night theme this year will be the 50's! So all you big boppers and boppettes show us your best 50's garb and stroll the night away. Our convention sandwich night is on Wednesday, April 19th. We will be serving "Jack's" homemade potato soup, roast beef and cheese sandwich on a roll and dessert. Sounds amazing!! Remember the Steak Din-ner on May 12, get your reservations in soon. Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 4th at 7:30. Please join us. Have a Blessed and Happy Easter... Please let us know if you have a suit to donate. Thanks to all who have donated coupons, who support our 1st Wednesday of the month dinners and to all faithful bingo players who support us through our bingo. We could not do what we do without your support. ONGOING PROJECTS: Collecting sample size toiletries, books, batteries, CD’s, DVD’s and all occasion greeting cards for Vineland and the troops. Also, we are still collecting manufacturer’s coupons to send to our enlisted families over-seas. They can be 1 – 2 moths past date when we send them. If you could take a few minutes, cut them out and divide them between food (anything you swallow, meds, etc.) and non-food it would be a great help. Jim Sharpe, Chair
