The Menstrual Cycle

Common Perception

• Hysteria• Misery• Pain• Can’t be bothered with• Wish it wasn’t

What is Menstruation?

Menstruation (men-STRAY-shuhn) is a woman's

monthly bleeding. A woman’s body sheds the

lining of her uterus (womb). Menstrual blood flows

from the uterus through the small opening in the

cervix and passes out of the body through the

vagina. Most menstrual periods last from 3 to 5

days, peaking at day three, and ending no later

than day 6.

What is the Menstrual Cycle? When periods (menstruations) come once every 28

days, ending by day six, asymptomatic and without incident, this is called the menstrual cycle. Having regular, asymptomatic menstrual cycles is a sign the body is functioning at its optimal level.

A cycle is counted from the first day of 1 period to the first day of the next period. The menstrual cycle is 28 days long, and cycle with the phases of the moon.

The cycle of hormone levels during the month control the menstrual cycle and symptoms throughout the month.

The Trouble With The Curse

• Conventional, allopathic medicine isn’t interested in the cause of the problem as they are to keep the patient with the disease but manage the symptoms of the disease with surgeries and medications.

• Periods are supposed to be incident free, without pain, without headaches or migraines, without lower back pain, without cramps or blood clots, without bitchiness and moodiness, and without abnormal bleeding.

Causes of Irregular Periods• Stress • Birth control pills• Uterine polyps or fibroids• Endometriosis• Pelvic inflammatory disease• Polycystic ovary syndrome• Premature ovary failure• Uterine cancer or cervical

cancer• Medications• Medical conditions• Complications with pregnancy

The number one reason women have irregular periods

is because of estrogen deficiency.

This is a comparatively uncommon form of severe mental illness, with the following characteristics:• Abrupt onset against a background of normality.• Brief duration, with full recovery.• Psychotic features such as confusion, mutism and stupor,

delusions, hallucinations or a manic syndrome. Premenstrual tension, premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual (late luteal phase) depression or dysphoric disorder or menstrual mood disorder do not qualify.

• A circa-mensual (approximately monthly) periodicity, in rhythm with the menstrual cycle.

How Conventional Medicine Treats The Curse

Western, conventional medicine is designed to treat the symptoms of disease

The goal is to keep the patient ill with the disease, but manage the symptoms of the condition with medications, or perform surgeries and remove body parts, i.e., birth control pills, Prozac, and hysterectomies.

How Functional Menopause MedicineTreats the Curse

Address the cause of the problem:

• What are the hormone levels?• What are the symptoms?• What does the blood work indicate?• What is the patient eating?• How is the patient sleeping?• What activities does the patient have?• What stress is the patient under?

Estro Harmony™ is for women who want relief from menopausal hot flashes and support for breast health. This all-natural formula delivers a proprietary blend of plant lignan extract and 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN) from hops, at clinically relevant levels, to support the body’s natural process of healthy aromatase activity and exert phytoestrogen (e.g., enterolactone) and antioxidant activity.

MedCaps Menopause™ is a unique combination blend that is formulated to provide nutritional targeted nourishment for women during menopause. It features specially selected herbs and nutrients that support the adrenal glands’ adaptive response as well as support circulation, relaxation and overall well-being. Featuring a non soy derived source of isoflavones, MedCaps Menopause may also beneficially influence estrogen receptor function.

PMS Soothe™ is a comprehensive blend of Native American and Chinese herbs traditionally used to

provide balance and support for a healthy menstrual cycle.

Hormone Protect™ is an ideal combination of DIM (diindolylmethane) and SGS™ (glucoraphanin) that helps protect estrogen-sensitive tissues by promoting healthy estrogen metabolism and supporting detoxification and neutralization of harmful estrogen metabolites and xenoestrogens.

ProbioMax DDS™ is a chewable probiotic designed to activate in the oral cavity for support of healthy teeth and gums.

As you chew it releases the safe and powerful DDS-18™ strain of Streptococcus salivarius—a beneficial bacterium that normally occurs in a healthy oral cavity. S salivarius DDS-18 then attaches to cells in the oral cavity and colonizes, positively affecting the bacterial population therein and naturally defending the teeth and gums.
