Davy was born on August 17, 1786 in Greene County, Tennessee. In 1813.

FAMILY:

He was son of Rebecca and John Crockett.

In 1806-1815 Davy married Mary Finely, but then in 1815-1836 he married Elizabeth.

Davy sister's name was Ana. His brothers names were Osman, Garrett, Brantly, Juan and Austin.

He had 9 kids all together.

He went to school at West Eastman High, for 6 months.

Career before the Military:

Davy drove cattle from the age of 12-over 15 years old.

By the age of 12, Davy was already doing grown up work.

He would do whatever was needed to survive.

Armed Services:When he was in Tennessee he held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

When fought at the Alamo, he wasn't a member of the organized Texas resistance - he fought as an irregular, and this had no military rank with the Republic of Texas.

Role at the Alamo: He was sent with 30 men to remove the artillery from the Alamo and destroy the complex.
