European Centers for Innovative Enterprises Network or “Business and Innovation Centers” (BICs) were created on 1984 by initiative of Regional Policy and Cohesion General Direction (GD XVI) of Commission of European Community, with the objective to contribute for creation and development of innovative enterprises and business in a territorial industrial development.

Today are more than 150 BICs (ECIEs) distributed in more than 15 countries of EC, 21 of them are in Spain.
