Getting Started
• Meet with all of the stakeholders that will be involved with your project
• Decide what you want and also what you do not want
• Make sure everyone involved knows the budget you are working with
Camera Questions for Suppliers
1. If we purchase the software control system, do we get free
software upgrades or is there a cost to those? 2. Have you tied your system in to the building automation
controls to use cameras in the room for occupancy sensors to control the heating loads?
3. Can we purchase any of the equipment off the state contract pricing?
4. Can you provide us literature on adding cameras at other locations?
5. Within $25,000, what would a complete system set up for 45 cameras but enough headroom for 150 cameras cost?
6. Have you ever had one company do the wiring and another company do the integration?
7. Can we use our own storage units or is your system proprietary?
Scope of Work
Scope of work for CCTV and Camera System at the Business Center and Technologies Building:
Hunt Engineering is pleased to provide design and performance specifications for the addition of
Indoor and Outdoor cameras for the North Olympic Skills Center. We will provide two separate
bid packages. The first package will address the data cabling for the IP based camera system.
The second package will address the installation and integration of the owner purchased camera
system, this will include physical mounting and aiming of the cameras, the integration of the
software and programming of the DVRs (digital video recorders), it will also have a alternated
design for some existing analog cameras to be added into the system. Both bid packages will
include technical specifications and drawings suitable for permitting and competitive bidding.
We will also provide the associated construction administration for these projects which include
responding to questions, site meetings, site observations and reports and final review of the
project and record drawings. Our scope includes the following specific items:
