The UBC Teacher Education Program provides an introduction for teacher candidates who are interested in becoming a Montessori educator.

The pathway comprises of:• an online Foundations in Montessori Education course (taken in the summer prior to entry)• placement in a Montessori classroom during the program (elementary schools)• an optional community field experience in a Montessori context

Students interested in pursuing this pathway and gaining initial Montessori experience register in the Primary Years Cohort (KIPP) once admitted to the BEd.
