TDSB Digital Learning Tools - Privacy & SecurityThe TDSB strongly encourages using district provided and supported tools; GSuite for Education (Google Apps), Desire to Learn (Brightspace) and Academic Workspace that have strong security and support measures in place.

However, if you choose to use an external app or site, please ask yourself the following questions before doing so to ensure that you’re considering the safety and privacy of our students and families:

● What types of student personal information will be shared or stored in the app or site?

● Who owns the data? (The site? How long does the data stay on the site?)● Have you read and do you understand the Terms and Conditions? Was there

any action required (i.e. parent consent)?● In the event of a security incident, are you aware that such incident may expose

you and the TDSB to potential legal liability as a result?
