Movement

● Shows actions, or alternatively, the path theviewer's eye follows throughout an artwork

● Should flow● Controlled by the artist● Can be achieved by using elements of art OR

by controlling shutter speed

Harmony● Harmony is achieved in a body of work by using similar

elements throughout the work, and gives an uncomplicated lookto a piece of artwork or sculpture.

Variety● The quality or state of having different forms or types, notable

Rhythm

● Created when one or more elements of designare used repeatedly to create a feeling oforganized movement.

● Creates a mood like music or dancing● To keep rhythm exciting and active, variety is

essential

Unity● Unity is the feeling of harmony between all parts of the work of

art, which creates a sense of completeness.

Emphasis● Emphasis is where the artist makes a certain part of the artwork

stand out, or catch your eye.
