Hey Chris, Engineering is saying my IPS is slowing down the network but I don’t see anything.

Hold on Frank, Let’s find out, let me log into the management console on the bypass tap and move it from active in-line to passive, out-of-band.

So by bypassing the IPS, the data will still flow to your network, while sending a copy to your IPS and let you know if that was the issue or not.

Well, Chris and I just took the IPS off-line, so….

How’s the network now Rob?

Back up to normal! Great job, what was the issue?

At least we didn’t have any network down time!
