In order to pass the Talk element of the Creation and Production Unit, you must demonstrate that you can participate actively in detailed and complex spoken activities by doing the following:• Selecting significant ideas and content, using a format

and structure appropriate to purpose and audience;• Applying knowledge and understanding of language, in

terms of language choice;• Communicating meaning at first hearing;• Using significant aspects of non-verbal communication.

Solo Talk Topic

Either:• Present an argumentative talk on an issue you

have strong feelings about.Or:• Present a reflective talk, in which you recall an

event / series of related events that has / have had a significant impact on your life.
