Participants will learn ways to build their own Professional Leaning Network through OER for educators, un-conference learning opportunities, online portfolios, and social bookmarking. Please bring your computer!

What is a Professional Learning Community?

Why should we have one?

Here are some ways that educators are using their PLNs:-    Professional development – learn from content-area

specialists-    Locate resources for your classroom, such as free

websites and software-    Get lesson plan ideas from master teachers-    Learn about new technology and how to integrate it into

your teaching-    Find collaborative solutions-    Find interesting links to education news

1.Create an account. www.symbaloo.com

2.Verify account through your email.

3.Click on HOME webmix.* Click on Change Wallpaper (optional).

1.Choose one of their themes.2.Upload a photo of yours.3.(Or) Go to Google, find a

picture, Save As, and Upload it as Theme.
