Good morning, the end of the Easter holidays has come about and it is time to get back into work mode even if this

is from your kitchen table or on the sofa! Below, are a number of different tasks to complete daily. You will have

Maths, English, Reading daily and then three other tasks to complete a week. Please email any examples of your

completed work to the year 6 teachers at year6@johnperry.bardaglea.org.uk we would love to see your work. You

can also email us about any problems you are having with your work. The table will explain what to do and the

accompanying sheets will follow for the day:

Maths: Practise times tables on TTRS for 30 minutes.

We are going to go back to basics with your maths this week and focus on place value. Today, you will be looking at writing numbers. Complete the worksheets.

English: Our topic is going to be based on a book called ‘Blood which is available on Bug Club for you. The big question for the whole topic is going to be What is blood for? Today, you should look at the PowerPoint which is below and then complete the task.

Reading: This week, you must read at least 3 books on BugClub. You should then write a short book review for each one you have read.

PE: Use YouTube to complete the Joes Wick’s workout. Write what you found hard and what you found easy.

Languages: Log into Duo Lingo. Play until you lose all your lives. If you have unlimited lives, play for 30 minutes.

We are going to go back to basics with your maths this week and focus on place value. Today, you will be recapping your knowledge of decimals and identifying the value of certain numbers. Complete the worksheets.

English: Our topic is going to be based on a book called ‘Blood which is available on Bug Club for you. The big question for the whole topic is going to be What is blood for? Today, you should look at the PowerPoint which is below and then complete the task.

Reading: This week, you must read at least 3 books on BugClub. You should then write a short book review for each one you have read.

Art: Create an origami heart. Stick it to a piece of paper and then explain how the heart uses blood. Use screen 3 of our English book to help you explain. You could make a number of small origami hearts and create a comic strip.

Languages: Log into Duo Lingo. Play until you lose all your lives. If you have unlimited lives, play for 30 minutes.
