Supporting a school in India

Mr Sewell visited India over half term. He flew into Delhi

Mr Sewell visited an area called Madhya Pradesh

He went looking for tigers

And found a local Government school

Where the toilets were not very pleasant

And the playground was dusty and there were few things to do

There is only one thing on the walls – a blackboard

The children sit on a thin piece of material on a concrete floor

The walk down to the school is along a dusty track

The children are given a school uniform each year by the

Government

The teachers were asked to make a list of things which they would need to help the children with their learning, help the teachers with their teaching and make the classrooms a more exciting place to be.

How can we help?

• Have a discussion in your form about how we could help

• Pass your ideas to your form rep

• These can then be discussed at Year Council

• And guess what……..?

Mr Sewell did see a wild tiger!
