Red Cross

Founded in 1881 by Clara Barton.Provides local & international helpRelies on donations of time, money & blood.

Services Provided: * Provides care to victims of war* Aids victims of natural disasters* Support & comfort for military members & their

families).* Collection, processing & distribution of blood

products..* Educational programs that promote health & Safety (CPR and First Aid training), water safety, AIDS …

* Provides two types of assistance after a disaster :

1) Hard- food, shelter, clean-up kits, financial assistance ($ for new clothes, groceries, rent, medicines, home repair,etc).
