Programs Begin June 27, 2011

COMMUNITY AQUATICS PROGRAM SUMMER CALENDAR

AMERICAN RED CROSS LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102 With so many backyard pools and boats in the area, more and morechildren are spending time in and/or near water. Safety for childrenbegins with being confident and capable in the water. This courseteaches correct strokes, breathing, floating and water safety. Allchildren will be tested during the first session and placed in aclass based on ability. The course is for children ages 6 and up.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 27(15 sessions)2 Available Times: 1 pm – 1:50 pm / 2 pm – 2:50 pmFee: $150.00

ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103This course is for adults who cannot swim or want to improve theirswimming skills. Topics include proper breathing, floating, strokesand water safety.

Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 28 (10 sessions)Time: 8 pm – 9 pmFee: $100.00

AQUAROBICS #105Aquarobics is a form of rhythmicexercise that supports the bodywhile using water as resistance.Swimming ability is not required.

Mondays and Wednesdaysbeginning June 27(10 sessions)Time: 8 pm – 9 pmFee: $70.00

SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106This is an opportunity for our district senior residents to make use ofthe Natatorium. Showers, dressing rooms, lockers and supervision areprovided. There is a maximum enrollment of 75.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 27(15 sessions)Time: 3:15 pm – 4:15 pmFee: $30.00 Summer only

SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104This course will cover the basics of springboard diving: approach,hurdle, take-off, flight and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniquesand form. In addition, all five groups of dives will be taught: forward,back, reverse, inward and twisting. The spring course will alsoemphasize competition-level dives and techniques used in competition.

Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 28 (10 session)Time: 3:00 pm – 4:15 pmFee: $100.00 for HHH students/ $150.00 for non-residents

AMERICAN RED CROSS PRE-SCHOOLERS LEARN TO SWIM #113This could be a child’s first swimming experience without a parent.Water orientation is taught with emphasis on kicking, arm pull/breathcontrol, back float and water safety skills. The course is for childrenages 3 to 5 years.

There is no written confirmation ofacceptance into a class. Refunds will only

be given if a course is cancelled.

The shaded areas indicate when the pool is closed. Pool is closed the month of August.Fall registration is the beginning of September.
