What Twitter Taught Me--Joe Ferraro

I play a game with my Public Speaking class called “Silly or Serious”; I will attempt to duplicate it here.

Silly: Twitter taught me that Kim Kardashian went from being called K-Humph to Kimye in less than one year. That getting retweeted is one of the greatest free pleasures in life.   That you can still feel like an insecure adolescent while waiting for someone to favorite your latest tweet.

Serious:  Twitter taught me that there are no longer excuses for not learning.  That you do not need to attend a conference for quality professional development.  That the walls of our classrooms are non-existent.  That networking is not only easy, but people want to do it!  Twitter is the world’s largest library, the largest sounding board, and the best place to find, test and comment on ideas.   #Ihearttwitter

When you speak, people will remember what you said. When you listen, people will know they have been heard. When you smile , people will feel that you understand and care. When you dream, people will be convinced the opportunities are endless.

Speak because you have so much to say.Listen because you have so much to learn.Smile because you have so much to give.Dream because you have so much potential.Speak, Listen, Smile and Dream...
