EMPLOYERS

Employer’s must, as far as reasonably practicable, safeguard the health, safety and welfare of employees.

Individual Responsibility

Every EMPLOYEE has a duty to:

• take reasonable care for their own health & safety

• have consideration for the health & safety of others

• not to interfere / misuse anything provided for health & safety reasons

• report any serious risk to health & safety

INDUCTION

• General Training – relating to the organisation, including values and philosophy as well as structure and history etc.

• Mandatory Training – relating to health and safety and other essential or legal areas.

•Job Training – relating to the role that the new starter will be performing.

You can make a difference by reporting health & safety issues…

• inform your manager or person in charge of the area

• contact your department safety co-ordinator
