ST. ROWEIS• Was from Miniet-Yamin,

Egypt. Also known as St. Freig.

• Worked on farm - carried salt to sell on small camel named “Roweiss” (means small head)

• In humility, called himself “Roweiss”

• During persecutions went to Cairo

St. Roweis

• Wandered from place to place, no home to stay

• Spent most nights in deep prayers & tears

• Very sad for people who lived in sin

• Lived in small storage for 9 years until departure

• Performed many wonders, healing the sick, prophesying, and saving many

KEEP OURSELVES PURE & HOLY

Keep Ourselves Pure & Holy

• God created us in His image to be:

GOOD & PURE

•God’s children must be:

SANCTIFIED (Set apart & holy)

Like the Israelites before entering promise land

with Joshua

• All our 5 senses must be pure & holy:

SIGHT (eyes)

TOUCHSMELLTASTEHEARING

Keep Ourselves Pure & Holy

• Our being (inside & out) must be pure & holy:

MINDHEARTMOUTHHANDSFEET

Keep Ourselves Pure & Holy

• Far from God:

“DIRTY” - sinning & not confessing

• Close to God:

“CLEAN” - stop sinning & confess

Keep Ourselves Pure & Holy

GOD LOVES YOU !

• God is all SEEING & KNOWING

• Keep yourselves “CLEAN” at all times

• Use holy THOUGHTS, WORDS & ACTIONS

“But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne” Matthew 5:34

PRAYER gives us VICTORY!

• The devils always fight us, and try to take us away from God

• The devil is VERY powerful, like a “strong man”

• But God is MUCH MORE powerful, “a stronger man”

• When we pray, God helps us to defeat our enemy (the devil)

PRAYER gives us VICTORY!• Beware of the devil’s tricks!• He makes you feel:– BUSY… no time to pray– TIRED … no energy to pray– DISTRACTED … no concentration to pray

FIGHT ! • Do NOT give into the devil’s tricks

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)

This week ….Remember … God watches over us, and can see our hearts & minds - use no bad words (swearing).Always speak the truth (never lie)!

Memorizing ….Glory to You, our Master, King, Christ, the pride of the apostles, the crown of the martyrs, the joy of the righteous, the steadfastness of the Churches and the forgiveness of sins.
