There is still time to support the 2020 Annual Catholic Appeal.
The Annual Catholic Appeal, with its theme, Seeing Christ in the Faces of Others invites each of us to open our eyes and recognize Him in those who seek our help.
For most of us, seeing Christ in some of the people we meet during our life is challenging. However, this is exactly what we are called to do, what Jesus told us to do when He said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Through the charitable, pastoral and educational ministries supported by the Annual Catholic Appeal, we see the face of Christ in those served – the hungry, the homeless, the unemployed, the distressed, the unchurched, our children and our elderly.
Seeing Christ in the Faces of Others isn’t always easy, but it is essential if, as Disciples of Christ, we are to live in service to others and understand in a very practical way the words of Jesus: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for Me.” (Mt. 25:40).
For those of you who have given to this year’s Appeal, thank you for your generosity. For those who have not, please prayerfully consider supporting this important effort. To learn more about the Annual Catholic Appeal by visiting www.cdow.org/annualcatholicappeal.

ST. TIMOTHY YOUTH AWARD WINNER
We are excited to recognize Melanie Schuessler as the St. Timothy Youth Award recipient from SMM Parish. The St. Timothy Youth Award is presented to young people who live as a disciple of Christ, sets a positive example for other youth, witnesses to
their faith by exhibiting Catholic morals and integrity, demonstrates Gospel values through service to others, and exhibits Christian leadership in parish, school, and/or community settings. Melanie would have been honored at the CYM Annual Recognition Dinner, but since that couldn’t happen this year, letters from the Bishop and certificates were mailed to her. Way to go Melanie, CONGRATULATIONS!
PHASE 1: SMM MASS SCHEDULE
As St. Mary Magdalen Parish reopens, Phase 1, we will offer 2 daily masses per week (Tuesday & Thursday at 10AM) and one weekend mass (Sunday 10AM). Our approach is to have a safe and gradual opening, giving time between masses to learn and make changes as needed, ensuring the best practices are utilized. In Phase 1, attendance is limited to 150 people. Once that number is reached, we unfortunately are not permitted to allow any other people in church. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines prior to coming to mass. Visit our Reopening Guidelines Page & Mass Times on our website for the most up to date info.
