Concert Friday night’s concert was such a resounding success. The quality of the performances and the costumes was mind blowing and so well received by all of the families. The children really out did themselves and there were many proud staff and parent moments! The way staff prepared children was brilliant and we saw many budding ‘Musical Directors’ in action. Thank you. A huge thank you to Paula Giugliano for all of her hard work and commitment to making sure that this night would be a success for everyone. Thank you to all the staff who volunteered their time and expertise to come along and assist the children on the night. A big thank you to Mardy Rowson and Tony Caridi for all their hard work in getting the school grounds organised and in making the school look spectacular for the event.

Little Augustine’s Our Little Augustine’s are visiting for the third time this week, Tuesday 27 November. The children are really settling into their classes and building friendships. The teachers are very pleased with the way each child has settled and begun to explore the exciting opportunities in the Early Years space.

St Vinnie’s Christmas Appeal This week we are collecting donations for our annual St Vinnie’s Christmas Appeal. Donations of packaged and tinned foods and Christmas items will be greatly appreciated. All donations are to go to your child’s classroom until collection day on Wednesday 5 December. Thank you deeply for your kind donations so far.

Sacramental Program The Sacramental Program is underway. The Parish Advent Workshop will be this Saturday 1

December from 1:00 – 3:30pm and all children and families must attend. We will welcome the children back in February to continue their sacramental journey.

End of Year Mass Next Tuesday 4 December 7pm, we will host our End of Year and Graduation Mass, where we will celebrate another successful year, and farewell our Year 6 and Year 7 children, and staff who will be leaving us in 2019. A letter will go home to families this week.

Year 6 and 7 Graduations We are finalising the purchase of tickets for the Year 6 Graduation and Year 7 Graduation dinners. The Year 6 Graduation dinner will be at the Marche Club on Thursday 6 December. The Year 7 Graduation will be at Sfera’s Park Suites & Convention Centre on Wednesday 12 December. If you are planning to attend and have not already purchased your tickets, please do so as soon as possible from our Front Office.

2018 SCHOOL FEES OVERDUE If you do not have a payment plan in place and have not made your final fee payment for 2018, can you please arrange to make an appointment to meet with me. Alternatively, if you are unable to meet during school hours, please email me at finance@saps.catholic.edu.au. All overdue school fees will be charged a $50 overdue fee. This includes Direct Debit, Centrepay deductions, BPays and Direct Credits that will not repay this year’s fees by the end of the year. If you need to check your calculation to ensure that your fees are paid in full, please contact me either in person or by email. SIBLING ENROLMENTS Parents of students already attending St Augustine’s who also have children nearing school age still need to complete an Enrolment Form – please contact the Front Office immediately if you require a Reception place in 2019. We are currently enrolling children for Term 1 intake (turning 5 before 30th April) and Term 3 intake (turning 5 before 31st October). If your child turns 5 after 31st October, they will commence school in Term 1 of the following year. ARE YOU HAVING DIFFICULTIES PAYING YOUR FEES? If you would like to discuss a fee payment arrangement, please feel free to contact me on 8182 7900 or finance@saps.catholic.edu.au to arrange an appointment. All discussions will be kept confidential. DIRECT DEBITS If you have a Direct Debit that falls on Tuesday 25th December (Christmas Day), Wednesday 26th December (Proclamation Day) or Tuesday 1st January, please ensure that you have sufficient funds for the deduction to be made on the business day prior to the Public Holidays (Monday 24th December/Monday 31st December).

Student Reports Teachers are working hard on the end of year reports. This year we will be sending the General Comment home prior to the full Report which will be distributed on Friday 7 December, Week 8. The final Report including the General Comment, will be sent home on Monday 10 December. We are currently working on finalising classes and location of classes for the 2019 academic year.

Judy Gowland It is with sadness that we inform our school community of the passing of one of our parishioners, Judy Gowland. Judy passed away after a short battle with Cancer. Judy has been involved in the Parish for many years. Judy has been the coordinator of Fred’s Van in this Parish over the last 10 years. Her giving and generous heart will be sadly missed. We offer her family our deepest condolences during this sad time. May she rest in God’s loving care.
