OUR MISSION TO RAISE AWARENESS
AND SUPPORT FOR ADULT
STEM CELL THERAPY
AND RESEARCH
RYAN’S STORY
Ryan Benton was diagnosed with
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age
of three. He was given a life expectancy of
late teens/early twenties. At the age of 22,
Ryan was fortunate enough to be involved
in a research study involving treatment
with adult stem cells. Ryan has seen vast
improvements in his muscle mass and his
lung capacity as a result of the treatments.
He is now 30 years old.
In 2009, Ryan, along with siblings Blake and
Lauren Benton recognized the need to
raise awareness about adult stem cell
therapy. Together, they founded CTFAC as
a means to raise awareness and funds
so others will be able to have the same
opportunities as Ryan.
