FALL SPORTS SUCCESS

There were many challenges that faced our fall athletes. Learning how to navigate the “new normal” . Delayed start of the school year, Delayed start of the sports season, and no off season or preseason prep. Like true Wolves, our Fall teams persevered and made us proud.

BOWLING

Began with a boys and girls team, suffered many quarantines to individuals on the team.

Competed in the GMAC tournament and Won FIRST place Boys team.

Advanced to the first ever Tri County Tournament – where they were once again hit with quarantines! We creatively combined the boys and girls teams into one squad and

competed in the boys division (as a coed team) Congratulations on all your hard work and success!

We headed into winter after our strong fall and felt we had figured out the quarantines and were ready to take on the

entire county! The Winter Teams did not let us down. Winning a District Championship and District Runner Up.

I couldn't be prouder of all our student athletes. Especially through these crazy pandemic times. And just want to say something to you all - success in athletics is measured in many ways. The first is one we all think of immediately and it includes all the accolades and trophies won throughout your season. But there is another measure of success that is much more important. It is the one recorded on the scoresheet of what you have become. This win will never be taken from you. Your teammates, coaches, and all the years of hard work and dedication to your sport have changed you for the better, they have made you individuals of character who stand tall and ready to make a difference in the world. And I know you all will do just that.

To my seniors, we will miss you deeply and look forward to seeing all the amazing things you will do out there. And remember, what you have become is your greatest win. And we couldn't be prouder.

Spring Sports

The Year would not be known as 2020 without the challenges. We thought by now we really had the hang of this covid stuff and then

came spring sports tryouts. Two teams quarantined during tryouts! In true Wolf Determination, we had our first ever District Softball Championship, Strong post season Tennis, and Hosted

our first Badminton GMAC.

Congratulations Seniors

This year was a big turnaround year, especially after having a good start last season and being shut down due to Covid.

My team worked really hard in the fall and bought into the system. We had both a 5 and a 9 game winning streak throughout the season.

We had the 4th leading hitter in Dade County (David Knepper). This was also our first full winning season since 2015 (we were also winning last year prior to the shutdown).

I am very proud of this group. They played well together and played the TERRA way!

I will miss my seniors, but I am looking forward to keeping the program going in the right direction.
