GlossophobiaDefinition: Fear of public speaking.

Believed to affect 75% of Americans.

Some prefer death over public speaking.

+Begin this class with a positive attitude & a desire to honor the Lord. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…”

CredibilityDefinition: Believability, ability to gain a person’s confidence in what you have to say

So put away all falsehood and "tell your neighbor the truth” because we belong to each other. Ephesians 4:25

People will begin to believe or doubt the speaker based on his/her credibility.

+IntegrityDefinition: Follows a strict code of

ethics (; what a person does when (it may seem) no one is watching

Speakers with integrity gain credibility through their actions and speech. Trust is gained and the audience will be more attentive.

get from Point A to Point B

Begin a speech on “common ground” and carefully lead the audience to a conclusion
