E'Style is a way to say who you are
without having to speak'. My garment has
a indo-western look. I have designed a kurta in
geometric batik print and layered it with a high-low
kurta with a floral print in batik.
This over garment has been lined with plain
red cotton fabric. It has been teamed with
harem bottoms.
Thank you INIFD Kothrud for giving me this
opportunity and supporting me.
Proud to be an INIFDian.
When I started designing for
Spectacular 2017, I wanted to explore a bold
'out-of-the-box' design for a male, but keeping
the Indian essence intact. So I took inspiration from
the traditional angarakha, and designed an
asymmetrical kurta with the overlap on the right side.
This kurta has been worn with straight fit pants
to give it a stylish look.
Thanks to Mita ma'am for giving us this platform to
showcase our skills and to all my faculties for their
support and guidance.

I have always been fascinated with
the Indian traditional fabrics and that's what made
me create this ensemble. I have designed an
asymmetrical panelled kurta in Indian batik print and
complemented it with a shrug in a fabric with batik
crack-effect. Both of these are heavily flared.
This set is worn over khadi palazzos.
I am thankful to INIFD Kothrud, Mita ma'am
and all the faculties for believing in me.
My concept is rustic design.
I made this design with raw wooden
battens finished with wooden polish
to get some raw look. Table legs were
with rope. To enhance rustic style
I put decorative artefacts and hookah pot.
Thank you so much INIFD Kothrud Pune
for giving me a wonderful opportunity.

Blue and white is the perfect colour
combination for summer. The fabrics used are dabu
printed cotton with plain white mangalgiri cotton.
Using these elements, I designed a high-waist palazzo
and teamed it with long and short top. It has been
a great experience to design for 'Spectacular 2017'.
It taught me many new things and increased
my imagination skills.
I thank INIFD Kothrud, Mita ma'am and
all the faculties for this opportunity and guidance.
Inspired from the flora and fauna in
the nature, these boxes, with flowers,
are designed with the purpose to fit in
any theme. They have been placed here,
to enhance the steps and to create a lively,
charming environment.
I wanted my design to be flexible and
multi dimensional. I am grateful to
INIFD Kothrud and Mita ma'am for such
an amazing opportunity.

Howard Murad once said, "Treat yourself
like a Royalty".And to make sure that today's
women should feel like a queen in their own
space, I designed a seating in printed
upholstery along with a side table arranged
with artificial flowers. My work epitomizes
agelessness with dramatic-and-bold yet
effortlessly elegant design in the form of the
comfortable seating.
Thank you INIFD Kothrud and all the faculty
members for believing in me and my design.
My design is a 3-piece ensemble.
It consists of a variation of the circular skirt,
a short top in ikat fabric and a reversible long
circular-cut full sleeved jacket.
The jacket has one ikatand one contrasting
solid colour side to it making it an interesting
element of the whole outfit.
INIFD Kothrud faculties and Mita ma'am have
lent a great support in creating and executing
this design. I can't thank them enough.

AFirstly I would like to extend my very big thanks to
Mita ma'am and all faculties at INIFD Kothrud.
I wanted to give a cool summery look to the outfit
I designed. To achieve this, I designed a white
mul cotton kurta and paired it with a pathani salwar
in earthy red. The look is completed with a
flared jacket in olive green bandhani fabric.
It was a wonderful experience.

I have designed a blue and white bandhni kurta
with one sided jacket worn over plain white
box pleated full length skirt. The kurta is single sleeved
and detailed with tie-ups on the sides,
giving it an indo-western feel.
I extend my thanks to all faculties of
INIFD Kothrud for having faith in me.
Nature has always been a source of
inspiration for me. Our theme was earthy and
natural materials. Keeping this in mind all
recycled material are used in my design.
The look was designed with a babool tree
painted in gold, and decorated with throw-away
wine bottles and flowers made from waste
fabrics. A patch-worked lamp shade, some
cushions and a painting enhance the look.
Thanks INIFD Kothrud and Mita ma'am for this
opportunity to all faculties who guided me.

AI designed a long summer dress, which is
predominantly western, but constructed it in
a pure Indian ikat fabric, to add the Indian touch.
Suspenders with really big pockets and an
elasticated belt give it a young quirky feel.
My big thanks to all faculties for their
support and guidance.
INIFD Kothrud is the best.
My approach for the concept of
earthy theme was very simple.
I wanted it to look extraordinary but be
cost effective. So I used a bamboo ladder
painted in white and decorated it with pompoms.
Artefacts were placed on the steps of the
ladder for added effect.
Thanks to INIFD Kothrud for this opportunity
and platform to enhance my skills.

VMy Inspiration comes from the age old art
of Tie and Dye. The lowers, a straight fit pant,
have been given a marbled effect and is worn
below an asymmetrical long shirt with a unique way
of buttoning up. A long panelled shrug
completes the ensemble.
My faculties and my institute INIFD Kothrud,
has contributed in shaping my skills to try
and achieve perfection.
Indian textiles have always fascinated me.
So I used kalamkari and dabu print fabrics to
create my ensemble. The garment set consists of
a palazzo worn below a peplum top with
extending panels on the sides.
To enhance the look, I accessorised it with
silver oxidised jewellery.
Thank you Mita ma'am for believing in me.

My concept is combination of contemporary
and ethnic style .I have designed low height
sofa and side table depicting contemporary
lines .The prism is an inspiration for the vivid
colours in my design. An antique lamp shade
on the side table adds an ethnic touch
to the set-up. I would like to express my gratitude
towards INIFD Kothrud and all faculties for
giving me an opportunity to represent my work
and for letting me to be a part of Spectacular.

I have designed my garment by taking
inspiration from Rajasthan. I have taken a
combination of cocoa brown and white block
printed fabric and combined it with matching solids.
The look has been kept royal.
I thank INIFD Kothrud for giving me
a chance in Spectacular 2017.
It was a great learning experience.
My outfit is a combination of
asymmetrical kurta and pants. Earthy colours
and Indian handloom weaves were a source
of inspiration for the same. Kurta is constructed
in a unique overlapping pattern made in khadi
and ikat weave. It is worn with black khadi
low crotch pants and styled with a stole.
I am thankful to Mita ma'am and all the faculties for
their guidance and support. A

and it is printed in emerald green and burnt sienna.

My design is inspired by the Bohemian styles.
I have designed a high-low tiered dress with cold
shoulder detailing. The dress is made in
a combination of block print and plain fabrics.
I have INIFD Kothrud to thank
for imparting the skills in me to be able to
pursue my dreams.
My design is inspired by village life.
For this I used aa brightly painted bullock
cart's wheel. A 'milk can' was drilled and
painted with warli forms to be used as a lantern.
Khatt (woven cot made of coconut rope)
and dry grass completed the look.
It was an awesome experience.
Thank you INIFD Kothrud and Mita Ma'am.

A My concept is Ethnic style. The design is based
on Raw wood with traditional pattern legs
finished with polish to aesthetically enhance
the concept. Ethnic pillows were used to fullfil
the theme. Background is created with strings
along with artificial mirrors, plastic pipes and
pompomps to suit ethnic design.
Thank you INIFD KOTHRUD,PUNE for giving
me experience and platform to explore
my design.
I believe in simplicity and my design
reflects just that. I designed a plain long white kurta
with a deep neckline and paired it with a tulip
variation bottoms. The bottoms have been given a
marble texture in crimson and black using
tie & dye technique.
I loved working for Spectacular 2017.

It's common to have flowers in the garden
but when you see it blooming on the wall
it is an extra-ordinary approach, I have
metaphorically termed the baskets as flowers
due to extreme contrast of colours, shades
and application of radial element of design
that gives an identical view as of natural flowers
which make you feel so refreshing and lively.
I am extremely thankful to INIFD Kothrud for
helping me to conceptualize my creations.
A three layer full length skirt with peplum
top with 3/4th sleeves that's what I designed for
Spectacular 2017. The skirt is made of a combination
in solid and ikat weave in a combination of yellow,
grey and white cotton fabric. The upper body is
accessorised with oxidised jewellery.
It was a wonderful learning experience
and happy to see the outcome.
Heartiest thanks to INIFD Kothrud

My design is a package of style and
tradition. Indian textiles have a prominent place
in Indian history. Getting inspired by the same,
I have created a set of kurti and palazzo pants with
a jacket and scarf over it. To give an elegant yet
bold look, I have added tassels and pompoms in it.
INIFD Kothrud has been my mentor right
from the beginning of my journey in Fashion Design.
Thank you Mita ma'am for the amazing opportunity.
I wanted to create a versatile and beautiful
piece which can fit into any space
conveniently. The hanging frames were
inspired from nature where beautiful creepers
and plants take shape aesthetically.
I really want to thank INIFD Kothrud and

Mirror is just a mirror but when a designer
applies his design and creativity in it, it turns out
to be majestic and Here, I have created
a mirror with bronze rustic finish to give a touch
of royalty. The roses made with clay are
unevenly added to its border to give a finish look.
I am extremely thankful to INIFD Kothrud for
helping me to conceptualize my creations.
My design is inspired from
indo-western theme. I have designed stylized dhoti
bottoms and teamed it with an asymmetrical
peplum top with peek-a-boo sleeves.
INIFD Kothrud always gives its students a platform to
showcase their talent.
Thanks to Mita ma'am for this wonderful
opportunity and all faculties for their guidance.
My idea and inspiration is from the indoor set
design of Dabboo Ratnani's calendar shoot
photography. Elements like the stems with
white floral arrangement and bamboo lamps
with warli painting depict the essence of
earthy theme. A frame of mural with black
design is used for a contrast effect.
A pearl white curtain adds serenity to the
overall backdrop.
