Specimen is a brand that designs with a

joy for unearthing treasures, sparking a

journey of curiosity and discovery.

The garments, namely capes and dresses have designer finishes such as silk linings, individually laser cut pieces and personal fabric selection.

The garments are designedaccording to the theory of Slow Fashion, created to be cherished.

They range in colour andfabric weight from dark tolight, allowing the collection to transcend the seasons.

To cater for our client's needs, Specimen has designed a range of dresses accompanying each cape.

Specimen's flagship store is located on the trendy, vintage street of Klooserstraat, Antwerp.

The store comprises of five areas to be explored -shop floor, museum, slow fashion information,alteration room and private changing room.

Each corner of the store is an opportunityfor interaction and discovery. The curious are rewarded with viewing items of inspiration to the head designer; interjectedwith antiques, scientific objects and theartfully arranged collection.

To ensure each client is satisfied with theirbespoke item, the complimentary alteration service is available to all clients.

Clients are also offered the opportunity to join Specimen’s personal written communication service, which informs of newpieces to the collection, delivers fabricswatches and invites clients to VIP events.

To ensure the atmosphere of the store and collection is retained once the garment is removed from the shop environment; the packaging uses elements of both.

To protect the garments they are stored in raw silk dust bags, and then enclosed in recycled cardboard boxes.These are branded with over-sized swing-tags and laser-cut logos on each side.

The swing-tags on the garments also take inspiration from the interior design of the store. They too are made from recycled card and paper, and feature envelopes contain-ing information regarding the brand.These are secured with branded stickers, which are reusable.
