Piazza Andrea Pazienza, in the Torrino Mezzocammino
district, is dedicated to the famous Italian cartoonist
whose cartoons adorn the walls alongside those of
other great cartoonists. To make the project unique,
photographic murals of some of the most popular
comic heroes of Tex Willer, Diabolik, Corto Maltese,
Lupo Alberto, Cocco Bill, Pecos Bill, Dylan Dog, la
Pimpa and the Winx have been installed. 24 panels
(4.20 m x 3.60 m each) made of mosaic porcelain
photo-ceramic tiles have been used to cover the
walls of the piazza with the heroes.
The piazza is part of a neighbourhood entirely
dedicated to one of the most popular graphic arts of
the twentieth century.
