APRS-IS & IOT ???
• APRS-IS = Automatic Packet Reporting System – Internet Service
• Allows non-RF access to APRS – must be a licensed ham
• World–wide weather, position, messaging & telemetry
• IoT = Internet of Things
• A “Thing” is a device with an Internet IP address:
• Smart Homes: Thermostat, Refrigerator, LED light bulb, Security
• Agricultural: Herd management, Irrigation
• Medical: smart pills, health management
