The pien-fu is an ancient two-piece ceremonial costume of a tunic-like top hitting at the knees and trousers extending to the ankles. The ch'ang-p'ao is a one-piece garment extending from the shoulders all the way to the ankles.

Ancient Greece Fashion• Greek clothing was sold in the angora and the

marketplace. You could also buy clothes but they were expensive. Most families made most, or all of their clothes. Their clothes were pretty straight forward. They used wool for winter and linen fabric for summer. They also dyed tunics and cloaks in bright colours and bleached some material to a bright white. Both men and women used perfume made by boiling flowers and herbs and wore hats for traveling.

Ancient Egypt Fashion• All men wore a wrap-round skirt that was tied at

the waist with a belt and rich Egyptian men were able to afford the best quality linen which was very fine and almost see-through. Egyptian women wore full length straight dresses with one or two shoulder straps. Ancient Egyptian children did not wear clothes until they were about six years old when they would wear the same clothes as men and women. The Ancient Egyptians went barefoot most of the time but wore sandals for special occasions or if their feet were likely to get hurt.

Modren Canada Fashion• The best part about fashion is how expressive

and dramatic it can be. It’s really all about elegance and easiness in dressing. You want to be inspired by the classics, but with a modern twist. That might mean mixing unexpected fabrics together like silk, heavier, and quilted materials. Some colours and patterns for modern day fashion could include Rich burgundies, shades of cognac, pumpkin, cream, mustard, as well as meaningful prints like plaids, twills, brocade, lace and floras.
