Learn all about owls in this exciting family friendly event! Guests will enjoy meeting these creatures of the night up close and personal before dissecting REAL owl pellets to learn all about their digestion. Guests will then head out onto the trail for a short night hike at the end of the program to call for wild owls (optional). Masks are required for the entire event.

Each troop/den will get maps to find clues around the Howell Nature Center property, while traversing HNC’s beautiful grounds by snowshoe. These clues will unlock a hidden treasure! All scouts will earn a souvenir Howell Nature Center badge. This event also meets the requirements for the Snow or Climbing Adventure badge for Daisy scouts!

Soar through the sky on our thrilling zip line! Stretching 500ft across and 20ft high off the ground, our zip line passes over a glacially formed pond which attracts many wildlife. Participants may show up at any time during the event, however, last walk-ins accepted at 1:30 p.m. Price includes two rides down the zip line. Max weight limit of 250 pounds.
