Border Security

Proposal Idea: indicators of threats at the EU external borders

Our input:

Development of AI-based software (also in the embedded form);

Development of algorithms and IT modules aiming at automatic recognition of anomalous or suspicious behavior of travelers (in real time) and risk assessment;

Biometric Portable Unit – full equipment vest of an officer for biometric control; Border Control Post (stationary, mobile) according to the Smart Borders package: EES - Entry / Exist System and RTP -Registered Traveler Program; the portable system enabling the analysis (coverage, quality) of radio communication signals used by the uniformed services.

Integration between hardware and decision-support systems.

Our expertise:

Intelligent decision support system based on algorithmic image analysis in the activities of justice services a 2019 project for the Polish Ministry of Justice and the Prison Guard;

iBorder Ctrl (Intelligent Portable Control System) a Horizon 2020 project enabling faster and thorough border control for third country nationals crossing the land borders of EU, bringing together many state of the art technologies (hardware and software) ranging from biometric verification, automated deception detection, document authentication and risk assessment;

Environment to implement the concept of Smart Borders a project for the Polish Border Guard;

Development of an energy-saving biometric set for mobile document and person control using acoustic systems and face imaging a project for the Polish Border Guard;

Improving the process of border checks of persons using biometric devices for self-monitoring of persons and control of means of transport crossing the EU external border a project for the Polish Border Guard ;

Modern Artificial Intelligence algorithms in the analysis of geotechnical data.

• Early detection of potential threats at borders through enhanced automated screening of persons under control.

• (SUCCUBUS INTERACTIVE) leading the task that would support automated screening at borders through touch screens. An animated character (virtual customs officer) is displayed and asks questions that the user (i.e. the controlled person) answers. A camera films the user and detects her/his micro-emotions. If needed, through a database of questions that might trigger emotions, and with machine-learning we improve the quality of detection / interaction.
