Opening Luncheon: The Spirit of Small Business Keynote Address: Lenne Nicklaus,
Owner, Sirata Resort King Palm 2nd Floor
12-1:30pm Lenne’ Nicklaus-Ball was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, and
received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Her exhibitions in mixed media
and neon abstracts are displayed in many public and private collections in the U.S and Europe. In addition, she
is one of the few artists who has sold her Giclee’ limited prints to HSN. Lenne’ has had 9 museum and art center
exhibits, and still continues to participate in artistic endeavors.
Lenne’ is the Vice President of Nicklaus of Florida, Inc. and has been involved in the operations and sales of the
Sirata Beach Resort for over forty (40) years. Lenne’ and her family have been instrumental in receiving three
awards, 2007 Florida Family Business Award, 2008 Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce Business of the
Year Award, and 2008 Earth Charter Sustainable Business Award.
Lenne is a past President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and Citizen of the Year in 1991 for St.
Pete Beach. She has previously held board positions with the Pinellas County Film Commission, St. Petersburg
Junior College Corporate Advisory Board, Great Explorations Hands on Museum, St. Petersburg Chamber of
Commerce and Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Morean Arts Center,
Boys and Girls Clubs of Pinellas, American Red Cross and served on the committee to appoint the Federal
Magistrate for District 4 in Florida.
Lenne’ is past Chair of CareerSource, formally WorkNet Pinellas and State Chair for Florida Workforce Chairs
Alliance. She currently serves as an advisor to Career Resources and the Science Center, and was one of the
judges for the Tampa Bay Magazine Non-profit Award 2015, the Boys and Girls Club Student Awards 2015 and
the STEM TEC Awards Ceremony under CareerSource Pinellas 2015.

12-1:30pm As executive vice president and chief operating officer, Dan LeClair provides leadership for AACSB’s efforts to advance quality management education worldwide through a wide range of data, education, research, and communication services. LeClair was the principal architect of AACSB’s Knowledge Services, which assists business school leaders worldwide to plan and make decisions using comparable data and information about trends and effective practices. He leads the research teams of AACSB and the Global Foundation for Management Education (GFME), a think tank joint venture of AACSB and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), and serves on the steering committee of the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). LeClair has served on numerous industry-wide committees and task forces for organizations, such as GMAC®, EMBA Council, Association of Business Schools, and Aspen Institute Business & Society Program. In the Tampa Bay community, Dan serves on the Board of the Economic Development Corporation and its Life Sciences Task Force.
