Brother Hunter on a visit to headquarters. These

FACTS ABOUT

Q. Shall I invest

a
W o r ld W i d e M i ss io ns G I F T
C E R T I F I C A T E ?
A.
If
you invest
your
money you
will
receive a
return
of from
six to
seven per
cent.
But if
you
purchase
a GIFT
CERTIFICATE,
your returns will
accrue

Q.
W h a t
a r e
GIFT CERTIF ICATES?
A.
GIFT
CERTinCATES
are
a
plan whereby
WORLD-WIDE MIS
SIONS
expansion program is put into
operation.
Many calls have
come far beyond our ability to answer. We feel that
this
is God s
hour
before nat ions
close, and
doors are
shut
forever to gospel
work.
WORLD-WIDE MISSIONS
plans to
enter
many
new
projects
immed
iately.
Q. What is
the
purpose of these GIFT CERTIFICATES?
A. 1) GIFT CERTIFICATES
will
be used to enter thirty new
na
tions
immediately.
A. 2)
GIFT
CERTIFICATES wil l
finance
a program of
enlarging
our work far
beyond
the presen t
borders,
by employing more
na
tional pastors and
foreign missionaries
to carry out the great gospel
task
of evangelizing
the
world.
A. 3) GIFT
CERTIFICATE
monies
will
be used to build
perma
nent buildings, chapels, orphanges, Bible schools,
dispensaries
in 100
n a t i o n s .
Q. How
may
they be purchased?
A.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
may be
purchased
for
cash,
or
on a
monthly
installment plan. If you
have
the cash
to
invest
in
the
work
of God,
that
money can be
put
to
work
for God immediately. We
now
need many thousands of dollars to build maternity hospitals,
dispensaries, chapels, Bible institutes, training centers and parish
p a r s o n a g e s .
They may be
purchased
on the installment plan. For instance,
a
GIFT CERTIFICATE
for 100
may b e purc ha sed at 10
a month
for
ten
months. A 500 certificate
may
be purchased in twenty
months
at 25
a month. And so on.
Your
money
will
be put to work
for
God
immediately,
once
i t
is
received.
Q. How
many
shares may I purchase?
A.
Each
share is
worth
10.
You
may purchase as
many
as
you
desire. 10 shares
equal
100; 50 shares, 500, and so on.)

FEED
A CHILD
A child
was
brought
to us this past week, destitute, orphaned,
hungry, in great need. And
when
we
looked
upon
it,
we had to say
pitiful
words:
'We do not have food
enough
to
take in this child ,'
writes
Osika
Eshitemi,
from Kenya.
Wha t shal l
we
do when cases like
this
come? If we only had some
extra food money t h a t we could
lay
aside when other orphans are
brought to us.
Then
we could take
them
in.
Will
you
please, Dr. Miller,
make an appea l

food money for
th is

Osika

a

little

I t is a very stable, thatched building, and it will stand for many,
many
years . The one problem is ex t ra food m oney for
o the r

I t takes abou t 7 a

And th en th ere is the

NEW MISSION
FIELD
IN GHANA
Many have already hea rd that Max Randall and I have
opened
up a new mission field in the country of Ghana
Africa Since returning to the United States I have been
trying intensively to enlist another missionary recruit for
this field As of now we have not yet been successful In
the meantime the Christians in Ghana have written request
ing me to come back there Up to now I have held to my
original purpose to go to
Southern
Rhodesia
However,
if
no one else is secured for Ghana I plan to enter this field
if possibleat least until someone e lse comes there The
need in Ghana is urgent and immediate We must not delay
sending a missionary to Ghana But it depends upon many
things including the possibility of securing permission to go
there as weli as the possibility of securing someone to go
Will
you be in prayer for this open door into a new mission
f ield?
MASHOKO BIBLE COLLEGE
Mashoko Bible College was begun in 1958 by John Pemberton Principal of the School for the purpose
of training an African Ministry of the Gospel of Christ In a few short years its graduates are already render
ing invaluable service for Christ in Africa Our g reat need is to build up this work and strengthen its educa
t ional
level .
Our work in Mashoko divides broadly into three areas qf missionary service 1 MEDICALthe Christian
Hospital under Dr
Dennis
Pruitt and a trained staff of nurses This work is invaluable both to Mashoko and to the rest of
Rhodesia 2 EDUCATIONALChristian
education,
especially
through
the training of African teachers. This work is under
the supervision of Lester Cooper and John Pemberton 3 EV NGELISTI preaching the Gospel establishing Churches
and training preachers All the staff is interested In evangelism but this area of service is especially under the direction of
John Pember ton and Bill Brant.
Mashoko Bible College is the link between these areas of missionary service It can recruit from those educated in the
schools Itcan send preachers through the doors opened by medical missions The medical work has opened the heart of the
African The Christian education has prepared his understanding The
Bible College is needed to train preachers who can take the message
of salvation through these open doors To win Africa we must have
a trained ministry of her own people
I am going to become AcademicDean at Mashoko You can help
to undergird this work We need your help to build a Bible College
building at Mashoko We need books for the library You may spare

THE

The

over 600 missionaries.
Today the Bible is a forbidden book
in
Russia.
It
is
illegal to mail or
carry
a copy of God s Word into the Soviet
Union. Apparently there is now no
confiscation
of
copies possessed
by
Christians
nor a penalty for having a

cases where such was true.
The only way for the Bible to be
distributed in
Russia
today is to carry
