Continued COVID-19 Precautions

• Continue mask requirements and compliance monitoring (currently 95-98% compliance)

• Masks required at Muni stops and Muni vehicles

• Vehicles are cleaned at end of day

• Windows and doors provide increased circulation

• Return to pre-COVID vehicle capacities (DPH approved)

Free and Discounted Muni for Youth

• Free Muni for Youth – for ages 5 to 18 living in low to moderate incomes

• All youth from ages to 5 to 18 pay a discounted fare of $1

• Other programs are available for low-income parents, grandparents, and caregivers

Improved Drop-Off Loading

SFMTA works directly with schools to make sure that drop-off loading is safe, coordinated and efficient

SFMTA Crossing Guards

Almost 200 crossing guards help kids and parents to walk to school safely at schools citywide

Bike & Roll to School Programs

Even during COVID, SFMTA and partners held learn to bike programs and parent webinars on getting kids to school on feet and on wheels

45 miles of Slow Streets makes it safe and easy to get around all city neighborhoods, especially to school
