Setting up your event page on Peatix: 4 essential elements

We understand the challenge of cutting through the noise to capture the attention of your event’s target audience.

When ticketing your event on Peatix, we help you put two and two together by recommending your event to our existing users based off a set of criteria that screens for relevance.

An example being, if a user has attended a film screening event in the past, they will be recommended upcoming film screening events happening in their city.

Events are recommended to users through email and in the Peatix mobile app (in iOS and Android).

There are, however, four things you can do to increase the likelihood of people clicking through to your event page via event recommendations we make.

TITLE1

Do not underestimate the power of a title to capture your target attendee’s attention.

We recommend these eight tricks to help you craft an event title that stands out.

COVER IMAGE

The human brain processes visuals 60,000 times faster than text. (Now that’s really fast)

A good image adds a sense of flair, professionalism and credibility to your event.

This would also be the most prominent attention grabber in event recommendations.

Have a banner resolution of at least 910 pixels in width and 250 pixels in height.

This goes up to 640 px

Here are some great places to find amazing and free stock images.(Alternatively, use your own photos at your own event!)

DESCRIPTION

3

This is where you persuade your potential attendee.

Tell a story, display photos at previous installations of your event, show them what they’re missing out on.

Don’t forget to format your text for easy reading.

Paragraph wordy descriptions

bold keywords for quick and easy

MAP4

Ensure the accuracy of your map in your event page.

You know you’ve done it right when the map on your event page displays the correct location.

(getting lost isn’t fun)

Seemingly trivial, but it would mean that your event happening in Kuala Lumpur will be recommended to users residing there instead of to those in New York.

You’ll want to get that map double-checked.

Once you’ve got these down...

You’ll be on your way to selling more tickets!
