What are food safety measures?• Hand washing• Training• Uniform/ protective clothing• Reporting of illnesses• Different boards/ preparation areas• Cleaning and disinfectant• Correct storage facilities

-refrigerators- freezers- shelves- storage containers

• Satisfactory equipment- able to be washed and sterilised

Why do we have food safety measures? What are the reasons for food safety

measures?

What would happen if we didn’t put all the measures in place?

preventing the spread of infection
