If you were at a friend’s house for

Thanksgiving dinner and found a dead cockroach in your

stuffing, what would you do?

You discover your wonderful one year old baby is, because

of a mix up at the hospital, not really yours? Would you want to exchange the child to correct

the mistake?

If you could use a voodoo doll to hurt

anyone you choose, would you use it? If so, who would you use it

on?

Your house, containing

everything you own, is on fire; after

saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to make a final dash and save

one item. What would it be?

If you were to die tonight with no opportunity to

communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not

having said to someone? Why

haven’t you said it yet?

It’s late at night and no one is

around and you hit another car

slightly damaging it,

would you leave a note and offer to pay for the

damage?

If you could know the

precise date of your death,

would you choose to

know it?

If you knew that one year from today, you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are living now? If so, what

would you change?

Socrates was considered wise, not because he knew

all the answers, but because

he knew how to ask the right questions.

LIFE’S MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION –

WHO IS JESUS?

Jesus asked his followers, “Who do people say the

Son of Man is?” They answered, “Some say you

are John the Baptist.

Others say Elijah, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” Then Jesus

asked them, “Who do you say I am?” . Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the

living God.”

Jesus answered, “You are blessed, Simon because no person taught you

that. My Father in heaven

showed you who I am. (Matthew 16:13-17 – New Century

Version)

IS JESUS REALLY GOD?

Before the world began, the Word was there. The Word was with God, and

the Word was God. He was there with God in the

beginning.

Everything was made through him, and nothing was made without him . . .

No one has ever seen God.

The only Son is the one who has shown us what

God is like.

He is himself God and is very close to the Father.

(John 1:1-3, 18 – Easy To Read Version)

Long ago God spoke in many different ways to our fathers

through the prophets, in visions, dreams, and even face to face, telling them

little by little about his plans.

But now in these days he has spoken to us through his Son to whom he has given

everything and through whom he made the world and everything there is.

God’s Son shines out with God’s glory,

and all that God’s Son is and does marks him as God. He regulates the universe by the mighty power of his

command. He is the one who died to cleanse us and clear

our record of all sin,

and then sat down in highest honor beside the great

God of heaven. (Hebrews 1:1-3 – Living

Bible)

Christ was truly God. But he did not try to remain equal with God. Instead he gave

up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us. He obeyed God

and even died on a cross.

Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others.

So at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down,

in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. And

everyone will openly agree, “Jesus Christ

is Lord!”. (Philippians 2:5-10 – Contemporary English

Version)

No one can see God, but the Son is exactly like God. He rules over everything that

has been made. Through his power all things were made:

things in heaven and on earth, seen and not seen . . .

Everything was made through him and for him. The Son was there before

anything was made. And all things continue because of him. He is the head of the body, which is the church.

He is the beginning of everything else.

And he is the first among all who will be raised from

death. So in everything he is most important. God was

pleased for all of himself to live in the Son.

And through him,

God was happy to bring all things back to himself again— things on earth and things in heaven. God made peace by using the blood sacrifice

of his Son on the cross.

Jesus Christ claimed to be God

Jesus said, “My Father is still working all the time so I am working also.” The Jews tried

all the more to kill Him,

not only because He had worked on the Day of Rest, but because He had also

called God His Own Father. This made Him the

same as God. (John 5:17-18 – New Life

Version)

Jesus Christ died a sacrificial death

Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by

offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s

plan is that we all experience that rescue.

(Galatians 1:4 – The Message)

Jesus Christ rose again

I gave you the message that I received. I told you the

most important truths: that Christ died for our sins, that

he was buried and was raised to life on the third

day, as the Scriptures say . . .

We tell everyone that Christ was raised from death . . . if

Christ has never been raised, then

the message we tell is worth nothing. And your faith

is worth nothing. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 12, 14 – Easy To Read

Version)

Jesus Christ alone can bring us to God

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never

sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to

God. (1 Peter 3:18 – New Living

Translation)

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no

other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be

saved

[for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation]. (Acts 4:12 –

Amplified Bible)

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the

[real] Truth and the [real] Life;

no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

(John 14:6 – Amplified Bible)

He wants all people to be saved and to know what is

true. There is one God. There is also only one man

who can open the way between God and all people.

That man is Christ Jesus. He gave his life to set all men free. (1 Timothy 2:4-6 – World

English Bible)
