Dear Brothers & Sisters:
Our Aerie is coming into the 21st century and have implemented texting as a
way to communicate with our membership. Over the next few days we will be
sending out the messages to establish who wants to be included or excluded in
our messages. We will be using the messages to inform you about upcoming
events, remind you about important discussions and to keep you in the loop
with what is happening at #2643.
If you do not receive a message in the next few weeks, it may be because we
don’t have a cell number for you. If you would like to update your contact
information to include a cell number please let the Bar Manager or Aerie and
Auxiliary secretaries know.
Aerie Trustee meetings are held every Tuesday at
6:00pm. All members welcome
Aerie Meetings are held every first and third Tuesdays
at 7:30pm. All Aerie members welcome.
Auxiliary Meetings are held every first and third

Aerie Brothers and Auxiliary Sisters,
Summer is coming to an end, some may be looking forward to the Seattle rain, others may miss the sun, and many are excited about football sea-son. I want to say thankyou to our members. It’s because of you that our membership is continuing to grow, the Aerie initiated 14 new members this past month!
The Aerie and Auxiliary have continued to come together time and time again in an effort to bring more dinners and entertainment into the club. Every month it seems more and more members, Aerie and Auxiliary alike, are attending the monthly calendar meeting. Please come to those meetings, it is a great way for all of us to come together and share our ideas in an informal setting.
We have Meatloaf Mondays to look forward to starting on September 10, and I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to some tasty dinners! We also have a dinner or two on the calendar on a Tuesday and Thursday which is exciting. I encourage you to stop by for a bite to eat at a reasonable price. Enjoying meals at the club is a great way to support charity. I would also like to thank Madam President Linda Fittro for placing a whole host of board games in the social room.
As always I leave you with this: I truly love this organization. The Frater-nal Order of Eagles spends countless hours supporting, and raising money for the neighborhoods and charities which we love. It is my opinion that the West Seattle Eagles Aerie 2643 can set the example for what all clubs should strive to be. Let’s be friendly and welcoming to our guests, to our visitors, and to our new membership. If you see someone who might be a new face, chances are they are a new Brother or Sister, say “hi” and let them know why you love your club.

Brothers & Sisters:
Well, it seems Fall came quite early this year. That along with the smoke made for a
tough month of August. Hope you all survived.
Lots of fun things going on at the club. We are getting the calendar filed out with great
meals and happenings. Our first book club meeting is September 13th at 7pm. I’ve nev-
er really done this before so we will be welcoming all ideas. Come with a book selection
so we can pick and get to reading.
Our first District 5 meeting is September 15th at 11am at Burien #3523. Their address
is 920 SW150th St in Burien. The meetings do not last real long and it gives us all a
chance to see Eagle friends we may not have seen for a while and finding out what is
happening on the District level. Please come take in a meeting if you haven’t in the past.
Karaoke is back! The second and fourth Fridays of the month. Please come and partici-
pate so we can keep Karaoke. Bring your friends. Me, I cannot sing so I enjoy coming
and watching everyone who can sing :)
The Aerie Trustees and brothers have been hard at work doing improvements at the
club. We all have noticed the beautiful paint job that was done in July. It makes the club
look so much more inviting. The outside cameras are all working again! Wahoo! They
are looking into some improvements in the women’s restroom. I’m personally excited
about that. Remember, if you have any suggestions for the Aerie trustees, please put a
note in their box at the bottom of the stairs going up to the hall. Sign and date it! You
are also welcome at their meetings, every Tuesday at 6pm.
We are going to skip the calendar meeting in September staring again in October. We’ve
gotten September’s calendar about full and October’s calendar is well on the way to be-
ing full.
We initiated two new sisters in July; Beth Berube and Patricia Acklin. We initiated 4 in
August; Kristina Hein, Jennifer Gibson, Teri Ensley, Tuyet Phan & Erin Braun. Please
join me in welcoming them. That makes 11 for the year! I love new members.
We are working to make sure there is some sort of food sold on Seahawk Sundays. If
you’d like to help out, please let WP John or myself know. Remember, to work in the
kitchen you must have a current Food Handlers Permit. Very easy to get. Go here:
