A photographer by nature, I am inspired and intrigued
by the wonders of the everyday.
I create fine art photography in both digital and traditional means.
It is important for me to stay true to the negative, with little manipulation.
I capture natural experiences.
Without interrupting or disturbing. As an unobtrusive guest
I document what I witness.
The following are the results from my explorations.

Artist Statement Music Series
The power of music is fleeting. A beat can pound into a melody, a note can turn into a tune, and a single sound
can become a crescendo of energy that embraces your soul and fills your body; but in a moment it is over. As quickly as it comes, it passes. This aspect of time is important in all of our human interactions; time is the
essential aspect to music. Nothing controls a song as much as timing.
As a photographer, I have come to realize that timing is everything. A picture, to me, has always been about capturing truth in a moment. It was about a single space in time when everything lined up just right for that perfect image. Lately, I have questioned the validity of a single image. If a picture is worth a thousand words,
what about two? Or how about three? What could those say?
After studying the work of cubist painters, a new way of expressing a subject was revealed to me. By using numerous images, I can capture a single subject in various dimensions. This allows me to capture the subject
both as a whole and in the small details through multiple viewpoints.
This method enables me to challenge the critical aspect of timing in music. I can capture the music itself by photographing a musician playing. The notes that the instrument plays become part of the photograph itself.
Through digital media, I combined the photographs to create one flowing piece. Each separate capture is just as important as the next; just as each note in a piece of music works as a whole.
See these images as sheets of music. Each piece, a different note. Hear their sounds. Tap with the beat. Hum
along with the melody. Let them encompass you, let them fill you. Carry these images with you and let them sing to you.

Artist Statement A Child’s Play
A child’s play is a sacred thing and his play area even more so. Never stagnant or mundane, but like the child his play is one filled with enchantment; a child can be whoever he can dream of, objects have endless uses, and
environments can be instantly transformed into any place feasible. These activities are not bound by reality but are only constrained by the imagination. The beauty of that being that a child’s imagination is limitless. In a time where children’s fingertips fly on a keyboard instead of digging in dirt, where their eyes watch a screen instead of
clouds, and their days are filled with conversations through a machine instead of exploring the places around them, confusion and wonder fill those who remember a time of true interaction. I was invited away from all of the
societal accepted play areas with their cords and pixels, into a simpler time. A place filled with things forgotten, overused, broken, not needed anymore. A place where there are pieces instead of wholes, where there is nature
dominating machine, where there is magic in everything but only through the imagination. Here, in this place, is where I find Cameron. This is his area, his tiny piece of the world that he claims all for himself. This is where a
knight is riding into battle, or a new planet is being discovered by an astronaut in his handmade rocket ship. This is where climbing a tree limb can really be climbing out of a volcano, or up to the snowy peak of the highest
mountain. I was swept into this magical place and was kindly invited to stay for an international spy meeting where they serve only chocolate treats with gummies. In these images I was able to capture a dessert oasis, a
cowboy robbery in progress, a brave prince saving a maiden, and so much more. Look beyond the grass and rust and see what is truly there to see, for this is a sacred place, one of a child’s play, of a child’s imagination, of a child
himself.
