Schedule of Proposed Action (SOPA)
Update vegetation management activities along 278 miles of transmission lines located on NFS lands in Colorado, Nebraska, and Utah. These activities are intended to protect the transmission lines by managing for stable, low growth vegetation.
2014 Pro-Cycyle challenge is a professional bike race with 128 entrants. The course varies each year utilizing USHighways, State and County roads as it crosses 4 National Forests this year between August 18 and 26.

Tennessee Creek Vegetation Management Project
Columbine Gem & Mineral Society non-commercial group use prospecting and "rockhounding" SUP
The project will include vegetation management for insect and disease, as well as wildfire mitigation. The project includes treatments that will improve wildlife habitat, watersheds and closes non system routes in the project area.

CIG is requesting to install 2 deep hole cathidc anode ground systems within the Boehm Storage Field. Boehm#8 300 ft cathodic cable and a rectifier. Boehm#47 300 ft cathodic cable, 1,400 ft electrical cable and a rectifier.
Merit Energy plugged & abandoned the Low G-1 salt water well. The access rd (FDR 615.J)is .1 mile and a public road. The USFS is proposing to reclaim/obliterate the rd and close it to the public. Then removed it from the MVUM when updated.
XTO Energy Inc. recently became the designated operator for a saltwater pipeline system formerly operated by ExxonMobil Oil Corporation. The special use permit authorized 3.14 miles of saltwater pipelines. This is an administrative action.

Mount Massive Wilderness - Special Order Revision

Turquoise Lake Half Marathon -Special Use Permit Re-issuance.
The purpose of issuing a new special order for the Mount Massive Wilderness is to revise and update the existing order, signed May 28, 1996 and to address the increase in use, the social impacts and to protect the Wilderness character.
Opening the existing eastside road at Mt Elbert Forebay to public travel and limited parking. Constructing a small foot path ( 3-4 feet wide) from the this road over the rip rap to the shore line to allow hand carry of watercraft.
Re-issuance of a 5 year Recreation Event - Special Use Permit for the purpose of a Half Marathon at Turquoise Lake. Maximum number participants 150. Race occurs on the first Sunday in the month of June.
