WHAT’S A SATELLITE?

A natural satellite is any natural object that orbits a planet. We can named moon to a satellite, because our satellite is the Moon.

TYPES OF SATELLITES

There are four types of satellites. These types are:• Shepherd satellites• Trojan satellites• Coorbital satellites• Asteroidal satellites

THE SATELLITES OF DIFFERENT PLANETS OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

All the planets except Mercury and Venus has one satellite minimum.

• Mercury- 0• Venus- 0• The Earth- 1• Mars- 2• Jupiter- 63• Saturn- 62• Uranus- 27• Neptune- 13• Pluto- 3

In the solar system are 155 satellites distributed in almost all the planets.

OUR SATELLITE

We have one satellite, the Moon. All times we can see the same side of the Moon, but depending of how comes the sunlight we can see more or less. The origin of the Moon:Daughter theorySister theoryCaptured theoryBig crush theory

THE MOST IMPORTANT SATELLITES OF EACH PLANET

All the planets have more important satellites than the others:

Mars: Deimos and Fobos. Pluto: CarontJupiter: Europe and Ganimedes. Saturn: Titanus. Uranus: Cordelai and Titania. Neptune:Nereid and Naiad.
