IntroductionHigh Energy Batteries (India) Limiteds principal activity is to
manufacture Silver zinc high energy batteries and Fiber technology
Nickel cadmium batteries which are used to Railway engines, Fighter
jets and Naval ships in India. Its plant is located at Tamil Nadu.

M/s. High Energy Batteries (India) Limited are engaged in the
manufacturing of batteries such as Silver Oxide Zinc, NickelCadmium, Silver Chloride Magnesium.
Their applications such as Underwater propulsion, Controlguidance, Communication, Emergency starting and for Aerospaceapplications.
The Company is also engaged in the Research and Developmentof Nickel Metal Hydride Cells, Fuel Cells and Cuprous ChlorideChemistry.
The Company can undertake any developmental activity and
establish the technology for the manufacture of electrochemicalsystems for use in critical demanding applications.

TECH power sources such as Silver Zinc,Nickel Cadmium,Silver Chloride
HEB obtained technical know-how for the manufacture ofSilver Oxide
secondary batteries from M/sYardney Electric Corporation of U.SA a
pioneer in the field ofAircraft application.
During the ten years period, HEB has successfully developed to the various
DefenceResearch and Development Organisation (DRDO) such as Naval
Science and Technology Laboratory, Vishakhapatnam; Defence Research
and Development Laboratory, Hyderabad and Indian Space Research

(DGNAI)

ByQuality & Environment Management System they achieve their
goals that outlined in their policy statements forQMS & EMS theyhave been fine tuning and upgrading their Quality &Environmental Management System.
TheQMS confirming to ISO: 9001: 2008 Standard with EMS ISO:
14001: 2008 Management Systems. Therefore, they have opted for acombined and integrated management system and proceduresmanual.
This Management System Manual which constitutes the level 1
document outlines the status ofQMS & EMS Systems in theorganisation.

Recruitment: In HEB, recruitment is done through the Personnel and HRdepartment,
their selection procedure is done by formal interview.
Training:
In HEB, training has been given to every employees, to make them feelhappy on joining in HEB,
They make arrangements for employee to communicate every higher levelpeople and executives to feel comfort and given training to handle themachine to feel comfort while working.
Performance appraisal: In HEB Traditional Performance Appraisal takes place.
Job Satisfaction: This is very important factor to perform the job very well. All employers and
employees in HEB are highly satisfied in their jobs.

Grievance Handling:The aggrieved of the grievance employees verbally explains his grievance to his
immediate supervisor.
If it is not yet settled by supervisors, it is sent to a higher level manager likepersonnel manager.
If it is not yet solved in step-2, it is further sent to the deciding authority or
general manager (Operation).
Employee Counseling:
It is professionally handling in HEB. Usually both the head of the departmentand personnel manager jointly or several discover and identify the social
problems.
The personnel manager refers the case to Dr. L.M.SAKTHIVEL, MRC, PSYCIT[LONDON], and D. PM, F.I.C [U.S.A], who will visit once in 45 days. Sometimehome visits are made by the personnel manager and he also conducts the followup proceedings.

High level executives will communicate with their

security guards with separate detectors.All employees have resorted to personal loan and education loan for theirchildren.100% of both employers and employees are insured by Life InsuranceCorporation of India.
Personal development training to employees not given by company.It is difficult for the outsiders to know the way for every departments.
SuggestionsThe company should provide awareness about the Emotional intelligence, it
helps in improvement of leadership qualities, inter-personal & intra-personalqualities.Company should provide Yoga classes to practice employees, helps lot toimprove and maintain discipline in their work life & personal life. Company should place the sign boards in every important place to help the
