PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Project Title: Rehab Smiles Movement: Step 3 City of Sonder: A Tale of the Faculty of Pharmacy

II. Project ThemeThe Faculty of Pharmacy wants to create a positive awareness of diversity of arts and culture through the showcasing of talents on stage.

III. Project Proponent:This project is spearheaded by the Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council 2014-2015 in particular the Outreach and Sponsorship Committee

IV. Project Rationale:The City of Sonder: A Tale of the Faculty of Pharmacy is an event organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council with the intention to bring the whole student body together in a non-formal way of promoting cultural exchange, peace and harmony. Through music and arts, we will bring students, artists, and audiences to enjoy the diversity and uniqueness of music.

V. Project Objectives:Through the festival, The Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council would like to accomplish the following: To provide forum for young artists and musicians perform their talents to wide public. To create annual fundraising event for Rehab Smiles Movement projects To stimulate creativity and innovation among the young artists by giving them opportunity of sharing their work and participating on an event:- through music performances on stage- through planning and implementing an artistic event- though making a video documentary of the event- through contacting media and promoting culture- and through networking with artists in the faculty Inspire students to be involved and be a part of the cause and goals of the Rehab Smile Movement Promote unity among all the colleges through a common cause in a venue wherein they would be able to have a fun time and at the same time engage in a fun activity;

VI. Project Description:The City of Sonder: A Tale of the Faculty of Pharmacy will be composed of an array of events including, Food Bazaar, Carnival and Music Festival. The Food bazaar would exhibit different kinds of food that would capture the taste palate of the whole Faculty of Pharmacy. This would happen for the entire Pharmaweek and would also be present in the culminating activity, Music Festival. The Food bazaar would be located around the stage and this would satisfy the hunger of the crowd during the event.

The theme of the City of Sonder is Carnival so there would be booths around the place and food trucks of the food bazaar. There will also be slides and other different rides that would make the people feel the carnival motif. The Music Festival will happen on the last day of Pharmaweek. Its venue will be located on the Grand Stand and will be showcasing different bands and talents.

VIII. Target Beneficiaries:The activity will benefit the students, faculty members, staff, the participants of Rehab Smiles Movement and volunteers inside and outside of the University of Santo Tomas.

IX. Budget Proposal:(Statement of income and expenses that will be incurred for the project; systematically categorized and state source of fund; usually attached)

X. Monitoring and EvaluationThe Outreach Committee and Sponsorship Committee will manage the event together with the Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council. The ticket sales would be available in the org room and will also be distributed among the class presidents and during the said event. Assessment of the project will be done through the accomplishment of evaluation sheets.
