PARISH MEMBERSHIP
Welcome to St. Rita Church! Please join us, as together we worship God and grow in love for one another under the protection of our patroness, St. Rita of Cascia. Registration forms can be found in the Russell Road entrance of the church, or online at www.stritaalexandria.com/parish-registration/.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Please contact the Parish Office to make arrangements to attend the baptism preparation class, held on the first Tuesday of each month. Please note that it is possible for expectant parents to attend the preparation class before the birth of their child.
SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY
Please contact the Parish Office to obtain an application to begin marriage preparation. Diocesan regulations require 6 months of marriage preparation. Living together before marriage is sinful and harmful to future marriage. Couples who are living together will be asked to live separately during the marriage preparation time.
HOSPITALIZED AND HOMEBOUND PARISHIONERS

Prayer to Jesus for Healing and Guidance
Jesus, Son of God. you were sent by the Father
to bear our weakness; be with us in this time of crisis.
Merciful Savior,
heal and comfort the sick, so that, with health restored,
they may give you praise.
Divine Physician, accompany our caregivers
so that, serving with patience, they may heal wisely.
Eternal Wisdom, guide our leaders
so that, seeking remedies, they may follow your light.
Christ, the Anointed,
protect us in body and spirit, so that, freed from harm,
we may be delivered from all affliction.
Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
Diocesan Resources for the Coronavirus The Diocese has compiled a list of resources that are being published by the different Parishes in our Diocese. All of these resources can be found at https://www.arlingtondiocese.org/coronavirus/.
Vacation Bible School We are hopeful that Vacation Bible School will be able to continue as-planned from July 6 – 10! Students who will be entering grades 1-6 in the Fall of 2020 are welcome to participate. We are also looking for volunteers. We will need both adult and teen volunteers. Teens can begin assisting as rising 7th graders (this is a great opportunity for all of our Confirmation candidates who need to complete service hours). Registration forms are available here: https://stritaalexandria.com/vacation-bible-school/. Please fill out the form and return it to the office or email it to kblank.strita@gmail.com, but please do not submit payment. Email Klarissa at kblank.strita@gmail.com with any questions.
